Nigerian singer, Kizz Daniel has been released by the police in Tanzania.
He was arrested on Monday afternoon over his failure to perform at a show he was billed for.
According to reports, he “blatantly refused” to perform due to unavailability of his clothes he allegedly forgot in Uganda.
In a video posted online, the “Buga” crooner could be seen being escorted from his hotel by security operatives into the back of a pickup truck.
Scores of his Tanzanian fans had taken to Twitter to express displeasure over his behaviour, lamenting that individuals paid as much as $5,000 dollars to see him perform.

This is the third time in 2022 that Kizz Daniel would be called out for failing to perform at paid shows.
The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) who confirmed Kizz Daniel’s release said his legal team will report to the station on Tuesday.
“Kizz Daniel @KizzDaniel has been released. His legal team will however report back to the police tomorrow while he will subsequently return to Nigeria,” it tweeted.
