The police officers involved in the assault of an unidentified man in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, have been arrested.
The Force spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi disclosed this on his Twitter handle.
In a video over the weekend, a police officer was seen slapping and flogging a man who was stopped on the road for a search.
Reacting to the video, Adejobi condemned the action and assured that the officers would be arrested.
However, on Tuesday, he confirmed that the officers had been arrested.

“These men have been arrested, and their commander will personally bring them to the Force Headquarters for further actions. They are three in number, attached to RRS, or Rivers State. Their action does not portray the police in a good light at all.
Adejobi stated that whatever a policeman does is personal and that it is not systematic.
He said he was shocked at how a man would be flogging or slapping a grown-up man, which he described as barbaric and unpoliced.
