A thirty-seven-year-old Virginia woman has been found guilty of murdering her 15-year-old and 5-year-old daughters.
According to the Washington Post, the jury convicted her of killing her daughters, Sharon Castro, 15, and Brooklynn Youngblood, 5 on August 5, 2018.
Veronica Youngblood admitted before a jury, to drugging and shooting her daughters in their sleep to avenge her ex-husband.
She confessed to killing them because her ex-husband was going to relocate to Missouri with their youngest daughter, Brooklyn.

However, the defense argued that Youngblood’s actions were as a result of trauma.
According to her defense attorneys, she had an history of physical and sexual abuse. She also worked as a sex worker before marrying Ron Youngblood in 2009.
The prosecution’s evidence showed that while the older daughter, Sharon struggled to get first responders, before she eventually died, Youngblood called her ex-husband telling him she hated him and had shot the girls.
