Brazillian football legend, Edson Arantes do Nascimento, popularly known as Pelé has died at the age of 82.
He had been hospitalised for over a month after he was diagnosed of bowel cancer in September.
His daughter, Kelly Nascimento took to Instagram on Wednesday to express sadness over her father’s ill health.
“These moments are hard to explain. Sometimes there is a lot of sadness and despair, in other moments we laugh and speak about fun memories.

“What we learn the most from all of this is that we have to seek out one another and hold each other tight. That’s the only way that this is worth it. Everyone must be together,” she wrote.
The Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a forward was regarded as one of the greatest players of all time and labelled “the greatest” by FIFA.
He was among the most successful and popular sports figures of the 20th century.
